Mica for plasters, as you can see, is a product that not only gives surfaces a unique character. Thanks to it, the finished surface is also highly resistant to extreme temperatures, chemicals and mechanical damage.

Mica plaster – what is it?

Decorative plaster with mica is most often synonymous with mosaic plaster, also known as marmolite. It is based on an acrylic dispersion enriched with natural quartz aggregates and mica, thanks to which the aggregates look like natural stones. Mosaic plaster also consists of a resin that limits water absorption. Resistance to unfavorable weather conditions makes mosaic plaster a composition suitable for use outside and inside buildings.

Properties of mosaic plaster with mica

Plaster with mica is a decorative coating combining practical and aesthetic aspects. It provides protection against weather conditions and has an elegant appearance.

Decorative plaster with mica is characterized by excellent resistance to frost, solar radiation and moisture. Moreover, it is resistant to dirt and mechanical damage. The resin content in the composition of the mica plaster allows frequent washing and scrubbing, even with the use of aggressive detergents, and without exposing the coating to destruction. The resin also gives it greater flexibility to prevent cracks from appearing. Mosaic plaster with mica is also characterized by vapor permeability and simplicity of application.

The advantage of mica plasters appreciated by users is, of course, their aesthetics. Many people like the effect of imitating the appearance of natural stones. Especially since mosaic plaster with mica used for decorative finishing of interior and exterior walls is available in a wide color spectrum. This allows for a selection tailored to individual aesthetic preferences and the nature of the surface being finished.
