SHORT DESCRIPTION - FLOW SIGHT GLASS AS WELDED CONSTRUCTION
The ACI flow sight glass Type 530 is a welded construction with flange connections in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1. The viewing windows facing each other allow illumination and observation of the medium flowing inside.
Due to the welded pipe construction, the ACI flow sight glass Type 530 saves a lot of the weight compared to the widespread sight glass fittings with a cast casing, without compromising pressure resistance. The glass panels consist, as with most of our sight glass fittings, of high-quality borosilicate glass DIN 7080, or specially manufactured glass panels based on the standard, in case your operation pressure exceeds the working range of the standard configuration. For very hot media, our Type 530 flow sight glass is alternatively also available with high-temperature glass panels made of quartz or sapphire. For chemically demanding operating conditions, we can protect the glass panels with mica discs or protective discs made of FEP or PCTFE.
As casing material, in most cases we use high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316 Ti), which has a high acid resistance and is very suitable for most applications. If even this excellent material reaches its limits, our Type 530 sight glass fitting is also available in many other types of steel or stainless steel such as Hastelloy, duplex material, highly acid-resistant 1.4539 and many other alloys. Simply contact our competent team with your requirements or any specific material wishes and we will work out a solution together.
Quality flat seals made of tried and test materials such as KlingerSIL C4400, novaphit MST, pure PTFE, or for very high temperatures also mica compound materials, ensure soundly sealed openings.
