Flow sight glasses type 550D
SHORT DESCRIPTION - FLOW SIGHT GLASS WITH DOUBLE GLAZING
The ACI flow sight glass type 550D is based on the sight glass type 550 with cast body. It is a solid flow sight glass for installation on DIN/EN flanges.
The Type 550D offers increased safety due to its double glazing. In the event of glass breakage, the second pane protects against glass splinters and the escaping medium. Type 550D one is available in various steel and stainless steel cast alloys with pressure equipment approval such as GG-25, GS-C25 or 1.4408. Other alloys such as Alloy C22 are also available on request according to your specifications.
The standard flow sight glass type 550D is supplied with flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1, but we can also supply other common standards such as ASME B16.5 and even special flanges according to your specifications.
The sealing of the type 550D is done with proven flat materials of well-known manufacturers such as KlingerSIL C4400 or Frenzelit novaphit MST. Pure or modified PTFE is also available, as is Garlock Gylon and a wide range of other sealing materials.
For increased operating temperatures or alkaline media, it is possible to provide the sight glass with an additional mica protection layer.
The installation of cleaning devices such as wipers with PTFE, silicone or NBR wiper blades or spray nozzles is possible at the factory with the Type 550D. Luminaires with halogen or LED light sources, also with ATEX approval, are also available on request.
