SHORT DESCRIPTION -CIRCULAR SIGHT GLASS FITTINGS WITH WELDING ENDS
The ACI Tank Sight Glass Type 390V is a round sight glass with welding ends according to DIN EN 1092 for welded installation on open pipes or tank walls. It's similar to Type 390 but is designed for vacuum applications.
The sight glass window is an industrially proven and highly resistant borosilicate safety sight glass according to DIN 7080 for operating temperatures up to 280°C on the connection side. Type 390 is equipped with a welding end matching the dimensions defined in DIN EN 1092-1, allowing it to be welded onto most open pipe ends without additional preparation. For less demanding applications, soda-lime glass may be used (max. 150°C).
The base and top flanges are available in standard steel and stainless steel grades with pressure vessel approval, for example P265GH, 1.4571 or 1.4404. High performance alloys such as Hastelloy or duplex steel are also available on request.
The borosilicate glass pane is sealed with high-quality seals. For most applications we recommend the proven O-rings according to DIN 11851 made of NBR, EPDM, SILIKON or VITON. For chemically demanding applications we use pure or modified PTFE and other special materials.
The sight glass Type 390V is also available with preinstalled cleaning equipment like wipers or spray nozzles. On request, we prepare the device with threaded mounting holes for lighting with halogen or LED light sources.
